Board of Directors Member
Being a member of Child Start Inc., Head Start’s Board of Directors is a wonderful responsibility. Members help in developing policy with respect to the program, personnel, and fiscal management of the Agency. They Provide support to the Program Director as applicable. Members also help in establishing long-range plans for the operation, growth, and development of the Agency.
Members are eligible to claim Non-Federal Share.

Policy Council Member
The Policy Council is a group of Head Start parents and community members who help lead and make decisions about their program. Policy Council members are elected by the parents of children enrolled in the program. Council members work closely with the program’s management team and Governing Body to provide overall direction for the program.

Substitute
Substitutes are a valuable position to Child Start Inc., Head Start, and have the chance to change lives.
Substitutes operate in a variety of positions and receive appropriate training based on the area of need. You can function as a classroom aide, bus rider, receptionist, kitchen aide, or custodian as scheduled.

Volunteer
Volunteers have the opportunity to influence lives for the better of our children and families! There are many ways a volunteer can help at our organization.
You may find yourself helping in classroom activities such as lessons or small group activities. You may help classrooms on the playground or in the gym where our students exercise and explore their environment. You might even help in setting up meals and assisting in mealtime services.
The possibilities are endless!
