Welcome to our Education Service Area

We work closely with parents and children to provide high-quality early childhood and child development services that promote children’s cognitive, social, and emotional growth for later success in school. We use research-based curricula and age-appropriate activities to achieve progress in all areas of your child’s development.

We screen and observe all students to help determine their level of school readiness and we work with parents and guardians to establish individual goals to support every student’s growth and development. Students are engaged daily in hands-on experiences that encourage them to think, imagine, and problem-solve. Adults support and challenge student’s thinking with diverse materials, thoughtful conversations, and nurturing interactions.

Parent and Partner Communication

Parents and guardians are a child’s first and best teacher! We partner with them to educate every child. For the partnership to be successful, we interact and share information regularly regarding student’s progress in all developmental domains. With parent and guardian participation, we can best support each child’s individual needs within a rich and nurturing learning environment.

We partner with local school districts and community mental health programs to support students who may need extra help to be successful.

Services for Children with Disabilities

Child Start, Inc. strives to provide an inclusive learning environment to all children at their developmental skill level. Children are screened within the first 45 days of starting school in order to identify strengths and areas of need or concern.

We work with community partners to provide individualized services within the least restrictive environment for students with IEPs.

Behavioral Services

Teachers follow a system of child guidance and behavior management that promotes the development of positive social and emotional skills.

Mental health consultants are available to assist the program to implement strategies to identify and support children with behavioral, social and emotional concerns.

Planned Language Approach

We provide Language and Literacy skills in the Home Language and English for our children, families, staff and our community.

We ensure an environment of acceptance and responsive practices that support our families. We provide interpretive services and additional supports for our Dual Language Learner children and families.
